I need a new TV

So I just got a call back from our warranty company and they can't fix my 42" plasma that died last month. They will be calling me back and giving me money to buy something new. I really liked my Samsung, but the model I have is no longer made and I am not that stoked about the look of the new models (yes that matters to me).

Anyway, if you have a kickass TV that you love, link me some info about it. Tell me what you love about it. Actually, if you have one you hate, link that to me as well. I am looking for something between 40-50" and I am open to either LCD or Plasma.

I have a LG 47" LED-LCD HDTV Model 47LH90. I got it from Best Buy. I love the fact that my Blu-Rays are crystal clear on this one as opposed to my 47" LCD Samsung. I can tell a big difference. Price range for this is between $1,800 and $2,100 depending on sales and such. It exceeded my expectations. That's about all I can tell ya BK Smile

Appreciate the feedback Lenia. I have never owned an LG, but from the reviews I have been looking at, they are being rated very high. I just might have to lean that direction.

Furious, I too am a Samsung fan.

Looks like they have B6000 and a B8000 LED series, with the B8000 series being superior. The 8000 comes in 46" and 55" sizes. If your room isn't big enough to comfortably watch 46" and you need to go smaller, you would have to consider the 6000 series.

Personally, I've always been partial to Sony myself. Bought this one recently (within the last year)

It's only a 40", so you might be looking for something bigger (yes, let the jokes begin...) but as a brand, I've had nothing but good luck with Sony.
